Serangoon Market Tandoori BBQ Sauce

We set out try making our own BBQ sauce which was thick, because we always prefer to have something with texture to be able to cover our food.. Our first attempts tasted more of tomato, but we kept at it - adjusting the layers of flavor : spices, sweetness, tanginess and smokiness. As with our hot sauce, this was not an easy journey, but we hope you will love this unusual BBQ Sauce

Founder Story

Serangoon Market was started by our co-founders Tonny & Merly. Having lived in South East Asia, we were exposed to the most amazing flavors from all around the world. South East Asia was a melting pot of cultures, from all over Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America.

It was during this adventure that we became curious about food and the representation of food in culture. We realized that BBQ (which is essentially cooking food over fire) is a practice that is universal. 

However, we noted that in the US, we don't see a lot of global influences in the BBQ aisle. We grew up on the flavors of tandoori, and shawarma, and satay. We want to bring those flavors to you in an easy to use format - dry rub. We've started our journey with Indian flavors, and will be adding Middle Eastern, Thai and Korean flavors in the coming months!

We make our spice blends from the very best spices, and we believe you can taste the difference!
